Frequently Asked Questions

What should I include in my initial contact?

Provide a clear overview of your situation: what the dispute is about, who is involved, and what you're trying to achieve. The more detail you give, the better advice we can provide. You don't need to have all the documents organised; just give us a clear picture of the problem.

How quickly will I hear back?

Zak aims to respond to all enquiries on the same working day if practicable. For urgent matters, mark your email as urgent in the subject line.

Is the initial consultation free?

Fullbrook Law operates on a pay-for-advice basis. The cost of initial advice will be discussed when you contact us. In many cases, Zak can offer a fixed fee for the work so you know exactly what you are in for from the outset.

What do I need to bring to a consultation?

Bring any documents relevant to your dispute: correspondence, contracts, financial statements, care assessment documents, vehicle sale documents, etc. Having documents to review helps us give you clearer advice. If you don't have everything, don't worry, we can advise on what you need to gather.

Can you represent me in court?

Fullbrook Law does not conduct litigation or represent clients in court proceedings. Our focus is on resolving disputes before court action becomes necessary. If your matter does require court proceedings, Zak can advise you on prospects, costs, and next steps, and recommend that you instruct a solicitor or barrister to act on your behalf.

Do you handle all civil disputes?

We advise on care fee disputes, automotive disputes, consumer rights, business disputes, construction disputes, contract disputes, and general dispute resolution. If your matter falls outside these areas, we can discuss it with you but may recommend another adviser. We focus on areas where we can provide expert guidance.

Is everything I tell you confidential?

Yes. As a solicitor, Zak owes a duty of confidentiality to all clients. Communications made for the purpose of seeking or receiving legal advice are protected by legal professional privilege. We take confidentiality extremely seriously. The only exceptions are where disclosure is required by law (e.g., money laundering obligations), which we would discuss with you.

What areas do you cover geographically?

Anywhere in England and Wales. Zak frequently travels to the Midlands, the South Coast, and London, to name a few examples. Most advice can also be provided by phone, email, or video call, so you do not need to be based locally.
